Inkraft is a refined, typographically-focused, translation-ready WordPress block theme built for blogs, essays, newsletters, and editorial publishing. It’s fully block-based with Full Site Editing, style and typography variations, block patterns, wide/full alignment support, and RTL-ready styling.

Requirements

• WordPress 6.1 or newer (tested up to 6.9)
• PHP 7.2 or newer

Installation

1. In the WordPress admin, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New, or copy the inkraft folder into wp-content/themes/.
2. Click Upload Theme, choose the theme’s .zip, and select Install Now.
3. Activate Inkraft from Appearance → Themes.
4. Customize templates and styles from Appearance → Editor.

Features

• Full Site Editing — block-based template parts, custom templates, and a rich theme.json.
• Style variations — five palettes: Default, Blue Grey, Calm Sage, Ink Brown, and Soft Minimal.
• Typography variations — four sets: Default, Editorial, Modern Clean, and Warm Humanist.
• Translation ready — translatable strings and a languages/inkraft.pot scaffold; works with Loco Translate and WP-CLI.
• RTL support — via style-rtl.css and RTL-aware CSS.
• Sidebar & no-sidebar — one-column and left/right sidebar templates for both pages and posts.
• Patterns & block styles — header, footer, sidebar, author meta, comments, featured hero, and two-column patterns, plus custom styles for buttons, quotes, images, groups, and lists.

Templates

Inkraft ships dedicated templates for the home, front page, archives, search, 404, single posts (with optional sidebars), static pages, and a content-only blank template — all editable from the Site Editor.

Color roles

The palette is defined by role rather than by name (base, base-2, contrast, contrast-2, contrast-3, primary, primary-hover, secondary, accent), so style variations stay consistent across every block.

License

Released under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPL-2.0+). Bundled fonts (Manrope, Source Sans 3, JetBrains Mono, Inter, Playfair Display, Lora, Fraunces) are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
